Advisory service for organic fruit growing. They advise over 200 full members from Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria, as well as over 300 supporting members throughout Europe.

The LfL is active in applied research. Specifically, the LfL networks the various research disciplines (soil, plant, animal, market as well as ecology and economy) and develops interdisciplinary knowledge. The LfL's research results lead to practical solutions and strategies, and there is close coordination with practitioners, associations, other research institutions and authorities. From this cooperation, the LfL offers its target groups solution-oriented applications and EDP programmes, monitoring, forecasts and warning services, results of variety trials and detailed information.

The Service Centres for Rural Areas (DLR) of Rhineland-Palatinate perform a variety of tasks in the field of rural areas. This also includes fruit-growing advice in horticulture. As part of this advice, digital decision support tools, such as RIMpro, are provided to fruit growers.
